Rosie
They say that life is a beautiful lie and death a painful truth. They're right.
No one has ever made me feel more alive than the guy who serves as a constant reminder that my clock is ticking.
He is my forbidden, shiny apple.
The striking fallacy to my blunt, raw, truth.
He is also my sister's ex-boyfriend.
One thing you should know before you judge me;
I saw him first. I craved him first. I loved him first.
Eleven years later, he waltzed into my life, demanding a second chance.
Dean Cole wants to be my bronze horseman. My white knight has finally arrived. Hopefully, he isn’t too late.
Dean
They say the brightest stars burn out the fastest. They’re right.
She sets my mind on fire.
All smart mouth, snarky attitude and a huge heart.
In a world where everything is dull, she shines like fucking Sirius.
Eleven years ago, fate tore us apart.
This time, I fucking dare it to try.
Getting to her is a battlefield, but man, that’s why they call me Ruckus.
Rosie LeBlanc is about to find out how hard I can fight.
And conquering her will be the sweetest victory.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I've read the first books in this series and loved them. I was looking forward to this as we've met both main characters before. I had a feeling that this would be an emotional rollercoaster and I wasn't wrong, lol.
This follows Dean and Rosie. They've known each other since they were teenagers and it was pretty obvious that there was always something there but their lives, and some questionable decision making, got in the way. But now Dean has decided it's the time to take things to the next level.
Like I said before, this is a complete rollercoaster from start to finish. I loved the dynamic between Dean & Rosie. They were both complex, multi-faceted characters and neither were perfect, not by a long shot. I liked that. It made them seem real. After all can we sit back and judge ourselves perfect? I think not, lol. They annoyed me at times, made me upset. I laughed and loved and was sucked into every minute of their tumultuous journey. It wasn't an easy one, but the best ones never are.
The writing is fantastic and pulls you in immediately. There were plenty of hot moments, but also some very sweet ones. It was emotional in places and was, all in all, a super well rounded read.
You could read this as a standalone I guess but I'd recommend reading Defy and Viscious first as it gives you valuable insight and backstory that helps you understand. They're both great books as well so you won't regret it, lol.
I thoroughly enjoyed this from start to finish and I can't wait for the next instalment of this super addictive series.
