My Review

Safe Bet (The Rules, #4)Safe Bet by Monica Murphy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Aww. This was really sweet and I super enjoyed it.

Sydney has just landed a job as nanny for a super famous couple, Drew & Fable. As usual the press get the wrong end of the stick out of a situation and rumours start to spread about Drew and Sydney. They get together and decide the best way to quash those rumours is to invent a romance interest for Sydney and who better than the yummy Wade Knox? Sometimes the lines blur though and what starts as pretend can develop into something more.

Like I said, I enjoyed this a lot. It's not quite as angsty as some others I've read from this author, it was a really sweet story. Wade and Sydney were great and it was also nice to catch up with Drew and Fable as well.

The plot was good and pulled me straight in and I was invested in the characters. I liked reading their journey and I was smiling when it finished. My only small quibble would be that I would've liked it to be a little longer. The ending seemed a bit abrupt but, other than that, it was great!

I would definitely recommend this to romance fans. 4.5 stars.
