My rating: 5 of 5 stars
I really enjoyed the first book, Mr President, and couldn't wait for this one. I'm not usually a fan of cliffhangers, I've got to say, but this one did not seem as bad as some. It left it nicely open to be resolved and we get that resolution here. Also it helped that there wasn't too long to wait either, lol.
Matt and Charlotte went their separate ways and she has spent a couple of months in Europe assessing things and planning how to go forward with her life and fix her broken heart. He on the other hand is finding it pretty hard to let go.
I loved reading about these two as much as I did in the first book and was rooting for them the whole way. They're both great characters and their attraction was pretty off the charts and great to read about.
Even though their are political themes in this I didn't feel bogged down with the politics and felt it added a pretty good, slightly unique edge to the story.
I was sucked in straight away and thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
This book doesn't stand alone and you really need to read Mr President to understand the back story to this.
This has been a thoroughly enjoyable duet that I'd definitely recommend.
