My Writing.

Hey!

I thought I would share with you some of my own writing. I'm currently writing a trilogy of stories which I have called "The Guardian Trilogy". These stories are paranormal/sci-fi romances. The first story Chosen will be a novella and the other two books will be novel length. They all can be read as standalones (I hate cliffies lol) although there will be and underlying story arc that will go through all the books.
As a writing exercise I wrote a prologue to help with my back story and character building and I would like to share it with you. It hasn't been been edited properly as it was just written as an exercise but I would love to run it by you and see what you think so please excuse any typos etc lol.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated :)

About me

Hey!
I thought I would take a little time to introduce myself.  My name is Claire and I hail from the UK. I'm a book addict and freely admit it. I've been reading for as long as I can remember and I really can't understand people who don't read. I mean really! lol.

I've read pretty much everything from Shakespeare to Barbara Cartland and most things in between. I love to have romance involved.

My personal favourite genre is paranormal romance. I think my love of all things paranormal started when I read Dracula as a teenager and probably because of that my faves will always be vampires.

For almost as long as I've been reading I've also wanted to write and thought instead of putting it off with excuses that I would just do it! I'm currently writing a trilogy of paranormal/sci-fi romance books which is both scary and exhilarating at the same time lol.

I started this blog to share my love of books with like minded peeps out there and hopefully convert a fe…

Eternal Mates Series by Felicity Heaton

Who likes paranormal romance? Well you don't get much better than Felicity Heaton. Her world building is brilliant. Her characters are excellent. Her stories are full of action and emotion. She's one of my favourite authors and I've enjoyed all of her books.
She introduced a new series last year. Her Eternal Mates Series. The story world in this series was originally started in her 6 book Vampire Erotic Theatre series but, while that series was limited to the theatre, this one explores a much larger world containing elves, demons and various shifters to name but a few.
There are 3 books so far in the series with many more to come. The first book is Kissed by a Dark Prince followed by Claimed by a Demon King and Tempted by a Rogue Prince (my favourite so far because I'm a bit in love with Vail).
This is a really great series and I look forward to the rest of the books that are to come. Recommended :)

Review of Transcendence by Shay Savage

My review of Transcendence by Shay Savage.
I have had this book on my tbr pile for a good while but was slightly put off reading it for the very reasons I one-clicked it in the first place. It's a lot different from the norm and I wasn't sure from reading the blurb whether it would actually work or not. The reviews were good though so this convinced me.
The story centres around the main character Ehd, a caveman struggling on his own after losing his entire tribe to a fire. He finds a young women in a trap that he has set and it is immediately obvious that this woman is different from any other that he has ever encountered. The entire story is told in a first person narrative from his point of view.
The woman's name is Elizabeth but Ehd has difficulty pronouncing this as he can barely speak, communicating only in grunts and basic word sounds. He settles on calling her Beh and decides that she will be his mate. She is obviously terrified and speaks in strange "sounds"…
